This August, Jinfonet announced membership to the Open Virtualization Alliance, a consortium focused on promoting the adoption of open virtualization technologies including Kernel-based Virtualized Machines (KVM). The OVA has experienced a 20-fold growth in members since its inception this Spring adding more than 200 members worldwide, in just 3 months!

Cloud technology adoption remains close to the core of OVA’s members as more than 50% are focused on cloud computing in some capacity and of course virtualization is a key component of every cloud.  In supporting open virtualization and KVM, companies can “reduce costs, increase virtual machine density, improve performance, harden security” and deploy highly scalable and reliable applications, including JReport, into private, public, or hybrid clouds .
