Jinfonet Software has recently joined the Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA). Formed in May 2011, OVA is a consortium focused on promoting the adoption of open virtualization technologies including Kernel-based Virtualized Machines (KVM). With governing members that include HP, Intel, Red Hat and IBM, OVA aims to accelerate the overall growth of virtualization technologies and the emergence of third party solutions.
OVA’s mission to promote the adoption of open virtualization technologies is a sentiment shared by Jinfonet as JReport can be deployed on a standalone server or in a virtualized KVM environment. With recent announcements of JReport’s cloud reporting support in the Amazon EC2 Cloud and in Salesforce’s Database.com many customers are already taking advantage of JReport’s near linear scalability and high performance in the cloud.
With further expansion of cloud support, Jinfonet continues to enhance offerings by presenting customers with the flexibility to use JReport conventionally or in a virtualized environment.
